Fall is a magical time as we transition from the long, hot, and possibly humid summer days into autumn and the holidays. For most, this season has a change in time, bringing shorter days, and the energies around us become cooler, lighter, more mobile, and unstable.

In Sanskrit, Ayurveda means "The Knowledge of Life." It is the traditional medical system of India and the sister science of Yoga because they share the same philosophy (Sankhya), which understands our existence by the five elements in the universe. Both practices bring holistic health, balance, and harmony to the body, mind, and spirit.

Please join me for this workshop. While sipping a cup of chai tea and nibbling on my fall balancing bars, we will cover the basics of Ayurveda. I will share some home practices and remedies to help you stay healthy and strong this season. This will be followed by an immunity-building yoga asana (postures) and pranayama (yogic breathing) sequence designed to be inclusive and suitable for any level of student.
