Place all ingredients in a pot.* ¼ cup diced dates* ¼ cup smashed almonds* 1-teaspoon saltProcedure1. Cut candied ginger into 1/8” dice or shreds.2. Place all ingredients in pot.2. Bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer, and cover.4. Simmer for about 8-10 minutes, test the rice doneness, and when rice is just tender, remove from heat, keep covered, it will finish cooking in the pot.5. Serve warm or chill before eating.
