Aum (Om) is a mantra defined as an intonation (seed sound) that transcends all races, ages, cultures, and species. It is a universal sound comprising three Sanskrit letters: aa, au, and ma, which, when combined, make the sound of Aum or Om.
It is considered the sound of the universe, containing all other sounds within it. When chanted, it resonates throughout the body, penetrating the core of one's being and expanding one's consciousness to the infinite Atman (soul).
