Fresh ginger has the taste “rasa” of pungent, and it is heating in nature with a sweet after taste.
Ginger stimulates the digestive fire “Agni” and our appetites. It improves absorption and assimilation of essential nutrients in the body while scrapping away-undigested foods and toxins in our system, called “Ama.” It acts as a powerful anti-inflammatory reducing joint pain, aching muscles, keeps the sinuses clear, relieves nausea, gas, and stomach cramps.
