Shilijit

Shilajit, which means "rock overpowering," is a natural exudate from the Himalayan rocks. It has been used in Ayurvedic medicine for thousands of years and contains almost all of the elements in the periodic table.

It is a natural substance formed from plant material and moisture as it condenses and runs down the Himalayan mountains. It seeps through organic deposits, collects minerals, organic acids, and other nutrients, and ultimately precipitates inside rocks as a resin.

Ayurveda has pungent, bitter, salty, and astringent tastes, as well as a warming nature. It is considered suitable for all three doshas.

Shilajit is a Rasayana (rejuvenative) and a natural anabolic. It has adaptogen qualities that benefit the nervous system and cognitive disorders and increase endurance. It benefits hemoglobin, reduces oxidative damage, supports hormonal production, and improves blood glucose levels. It is also known as a bone tonic and a kidney and urinary tonic; it helps with nutrient absorption, removes toxins, and reduces cholesterol buildup.
