Kaniwa

Kaniwa is a grain that has been cultivated for thousands of years in Peru, Bolivia, Ecuador, and Colombia. It is the seed of the flowering plant known as goosefoot. Kaniwa is technically a seed, not a grain, and it is naturally gluten-free, a source of fiber and protein, and contains all essential amino acids. It possesses antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, helps regulate blood sugar and cholesterol levels, and has a low glycemic index. Additionally, it provides vitamins B and E, along with magnesium, folate, phosphorus, zinc, copper, and manganese.

This grain can be ordered online and is an excellent addition to your morning cereal or baked items.
