Rose has qualities of bitterness, pungency, astringency, cooling, dryness, and lightness. It has a calming and soothing effect, easing heated emotions and relaxing the nervous system. It is connected to Ajna, the heart chakra, supporting self-love, uplifting the spirit, and promoting peace. It helps balance skin pH and control excess oil, providing immediate hydration and calming irritations like redness, inflammation, and acne when misted. Additionally, it is used as an eye tonic to reduce puffiness, fatigue, and inflammation.
Energetically, it functions as a tonic for the digestive, heart, and circulatory systems, increases semen, enhances intellect, and acts as a carminative, emmenagogue, nervine, antidepressant, astringent, anti-inflammatory, aromatic, and aphrodisiac.
