Psyllium

Psyllium (also known as Isabgol) is a natural source of soluble and insoluble fiber. When mixed with water, the soluble fiber forms a mucilaginous substance, which helps cleanse the GI tract of undigested food, fat, sugars, and natural toxins.

It helps maintain healthy blood sugar levels within the normal range. The insoluble fiber in psyllium works as a bulking agent, providing a constant volume of solid material in the intestines regardless of other aspects of the diet or gut condition, such as cholesterol levels. As such, it helps promote healthy, regular bowel elimination.
