Headache Tincture

Headache Tonic

This herbal tincuture is very effective with headaches and is made with glycerin instead of alcohol.


Feverfew- (Bitter, Pungent and Cooling)

It belongs to the Asteraceae (daisies) family and stems from the Latin febrifuge, “the fever reducer.” Its common name is Chrysanthemum parthenium, and it is an antipyretic. It is considered the “aspirin” of the 18th century. It has been used to treat headaches, arthritis, asthma, dermatitis and psoriasis, earache, fever, inflammatory conditions, insect bites, menstrual disorders, vertigo, and parasites.


Willow Bark- (Bitter, Pungent and Cooling)

Willow bark, which comes from several varieties of the willow tree, is used to make medicine. It is best known as an anti-inflammatory and pain reliever, and the chemical salicin, similar to aspirin, is present in it.


Ginger- (Sweet and Cooling)

The Latin name of the ginger plant is Zingiber officinale. Ginger is an anti-inflammatory used as a natural remedy for headaches, nausea, diarrhea, and upset stomachs. It also aids in digestion.


Instructions:

Take 1-3 eye droppers under the tongue at the onset of a headache, then lie down with your eyes covered.
